For looking naturally radiant, one need not necessarily splurge on expensive skin care products. Different packs which can be made out of ingredients found in one’s kitchen counter can be good enough to improve skin lusture. However, the best results can be achieved only when one is regular.

  • skin glowBadam powder, turmeric and lime juice (just a few drops) helps in improving skin texture. Lime mixed with honey can be used as the best moisturizer for all seasons.
  • A mixture of milk, honey and egg white, helps in toning up the skin.
  • A paste of tulsi leaves, tomato and mint leaves, helps in shrinking the enlarged skin pores.
  • A mixture of rose water and glycerine removes finelines from the face.
  • A paste of ripe papaya helps in removing pimples and blemishes and wrinkles. Can be either used alone or with a drop of honey added to it.
  • A paste of neem leaves is a good remedy for oily skin. Neem with its anti-bacterial properties, help in preventing skin disorders. In case of individuals with dry skin, a drop of milk cream and honey can be added to the neem paste.
  • A pack made of cucumber paste and a drop of lime juice, when applied over a period of time, leaves face fair and flawless.
  • Adding buttermilk to tomato paste helps in getting rid of sunburn and suntan immediately.
  • After cleansing the face, when cold rose water is dabbed on to the face, it serves as an excellent tonic to the face.
  • A drop of honey can be added to ripe banana and applied. This gives a silky and soft feel.
  • A paste made of powdered almonds, orange juice, milk and carrot when applied regularly help in eradicating scars of chicken pox.
  • Green tea bags/leaves can be used as a remedy for tired or baggy eyes. Also regular use of cucumber/potato helps prevent dark circles under eyes.

All face packs can be kept for about 20 minutes, and washed with cold water.  It is best to opt for Mother Nature’s bounty than commercial products, as nature always helps one remain supremely beautiful. In addition to this, healthy and good thoughts will add up to one’s personal charm.
