A recent news report states that [tag]beauty treatment with flowers[/tag], which was the age old practice, is now again in vogue in India. Plenty of foreign tourists are taking keen interest in natural [tag]fragrance treatment[/tag] that the [tag]spas[/tag] are offering. Spas are now depending on the power of flowers such as [tag]hisbiscus[/tag], jasmine, lemon and mogra for treating anything from preventing dark circles to [tag]preventing hair loss[/tag]. A few such remedies with flowers that could prove beneficial in solving common skin and hair problems are mentioned here.
For Dandruff and hairloss – 250ml of [tag]coconut oil[/tag] and 100gms of lemon flower, can be mixed with 50gm of Amla (Indian gooseberry) powder and 1 tbsp. of henna in warm water and used as a [tag]hair tonic[/tag]. This is excellent in preventing dandruff and thereby hair loss caused due to [tag]dandruff[/tag].
For oily skin – 40gm of lemon flower paste, I tbsp of [tag]multani mitti[/tag] and [tag]rose water[/tag] can be made to a paste and applied for twenty minutes and wash off. This apart from prevent acne, helps in getting rid of oily skin.
For black shiny hair – 50nos. hibiscus flowers and one litre of sugarcane juice should be sealed in an earthen pot. This can be kept underneath the ground (by digging a hole) for three weeks. This mixture turns black after three weeks and can be massaged onto the hair for twenty minutes before washing. This ayurvedic treatment works like magic, in turning grey hairs to black. It can easily replace the commercial dyes.
For Dark Circles – One teaspoon of crushed rose petals and one crushed potato can be mixed with a few drops of lime juice and allowed to freeze for twenty minutes. This when regularly applied to under-eye removes crow’s feet and dark circles.
