Certain veggie-spice combinations prove effective in fighting cancer

It has now been found that pairing powerful cell-protecting vegetables with certain kind of spices could actually boost the cancer-fighting abilities of both.

Onions and Garlic, the building blocks of most recipes, are potent anti-carcinogens. Also, there has been plenty of evidence to prove that cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower could actually repair the DNA damage which has been caused by external factors such as sun exposure or cigarette smoking. They even help reduce the risk of cancers that are hereditary.
 
Though the scientists are unaware about the precise combination of the veggies and spices, and the way they work, it is believed that pairing the veggies with certain spices, actually boost their potency.

The yellow pigment found in turmeric, Curcumin, the most essential ingredient in gravies, curbs the growth of melanoma and other cancers. Ginger too, has the similar effect on cancerous cells in the Colon. Cloves and cinnamon, the ingredients in most recipes, lower cholesterol levels and improve insulin function.

Hence one could sit down to a ginger-sesame stir fry, or mildly fragrant cabbage rolls, and enjoy delicious recipes that could actually make one forget that they also contain boring greens.
