It is best to stock-up on fenugreek seeds, flaxseeds, soybeans and walnuts, as these are rich sources of Omega 3 fatty acids that not only protects one against diseases, but also increases the muscle mass.
A recent study carried out at the University Lavals Institute of Nutraceutics and Functional Foods, Canada, suggests “With age, the ability of the body to use nutrients and transform them into muscle decreases. Consuming fish oils and the such, that are rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, and combining them with exercises, can prevent age-related muscle loss.”
