Eczema, which is also known as dermatitis, is an inflamed or irritated skin condition. Alternative therapies, herbal remedies and Aromatherapy are used by many to alleviate discomforts associated with Eczema. [tag]Herbal tonics[/tag], Green juice, [tag]Omega 3 Oils[/tag] etc., are few such useful remedies for Eczema.

For detoxification of the body and for boosting immunity, herbal formulas are recommended. A freshly extracted mixture of Parsley, Cilantro, Dandelion, Wheatgrass and Bitter melon juices to which an ounce of Shilajit is added, can be consumed about six to eight ounces a day.

A tablespoon each of evening primrose oil, black cumin oil, borage oil, pumpkin seed oil, and about three to four tablespoons of flaxseed oil can be added to vegetable juice or yogurt or cottage cheese and consumed. However, the flaxseed oil should be stored in cold temperature only. The oils should not be exposed to air for more than a few seconds.

Lavender, known for its relaxing effects helps in skin conditions such as Eczema. Studies have shown that children with Eczema who received topical lavender oil massage showed remarkable improvement in condition.  As stress is also said to worsen Eczema, the oil with its soothing effect improves the condition.

The other herbs that could be used for Eczema include Burdock root, Goldenrod, Red clover, Stinging nettle and Roman Chamomile. They can be used as topical applications during Eczema.

    Hi!

Are these recommendations also for babies?

My 10 month old baby has eczema since he was 3 months old. We tried giving him homeopathy (Sulphur 30c) it got better. It wss completely healed when we visited Thailand…because of the humidity. But now it has gotten worse.

We use all natural detergent, herbal/organic soap and we use organic coconut oil, neem oil and even tried shea butter. nothing has really worked. We stopped giving him wheat and dairy. He normally has goats milk, rice cereal and pureed fruits. We also him flax seed oil but even that has not really worked.

    Appreciate your response.

Hi,I think you should try using olive oil etra-vergin.
and rubb to the skin after every barth, as it is reach with omega3
elements also continue using Flax seed alternatively, cod liver oil can be suitable aswell. water-soluble ointment that containe 50gms of Vitamin B6 should be utilized, try to stay away from soap rather use milk of-magnesia before barth then reans as you barth.
Quickly lock in moisture by applying extra-vergin oil, sensitivity is to re-fredgerate these oils after use and not expose to sunlight as to prevant from Oxidation. Good luck
